Keller Creative Interiors: Where Wellness Meets Redefined Interior Design

In a world filled with countless interior design firms, Keller Creative Interiors stands out as a unique and innovative player in the field. This firm's approach to interior design is all about understanding the essence of each individual client's lifestyle and aspirations, setting them apart from the rest.

At the heart of Keller Creative Interiors is founder Rachel Keller, whose journey into interior design was sparked by a desire to merge the art of storytelling with the transformative power of interior spaces. With a background in marketing, Rachel had a deep passion for crafting narratives and helping clients share their brand stories. However, she longed for a more hands-on role in the creative process.

The pivotal moment came during a routine visit to the home decor aisle, a place where Rachel sought inspiration. It was here that the idea struck her like a lightning bolt – she could become the creative visionary in interiors, shaping spaces that resonated with the soul.

This epiphany marked the inception of Keller Creative Interiors, a venture that seamlessly melds storytelling prowess with an innate talent for interior design. Under Rachel's guidance, each project becomes a canvas for crafting unique narratives that mirror the essence of the client, their dreams, habits, and desires. It's a journey that's deeply personal and intensely creative.

As we delve into Keller Creative Interiors, we'll take you behind the scenes of their unique approach to interior design and how they weave the tapestry of their clients' lives into every element of their living spaces. Join us as we explore the art of designing for the individual!

Could you share some examples of interior design projects that you are particularly proud of and explain what made them special?

Oh, this is a tough one! Right now, I’m in the middle of a client’s vacation home on Anna Maria Island. Beyond being special because of the home’s incredible oceanfront view, it’s been a very rewarding project. My client has phenomenal taste but is admittedly indecisive and has previously felt designers haven’t understood what it is she wants, likes, and needs. I’ve been working with her for the past year, and within that year, we’ve built such a great relationship of trust that Keller Creative has touched every room in that house, and she wants us to be by her side at her next build. It’s incredibly rewarding to be trusted with someone’s home, and I hope to partner with her for many years to come.

Can you walk us through the typical timeline of a project, from the initial discovery call to the final design implementation?

Each project starts with a discovery call; it’s the best way to learn more about what their design needs are and for us to both get a feel for each other. If it's a project I feel Keller Creative can help with, we move on to a consultation. This is an on-site visit, and I typically spend 1.5 - 2 hours at each location. I always send a comprehensive summary of everything we discuss within a week afterward. After the consultation, I have what I need to build a custom design proposal for approval. Some clients are more hands-on, and our relationship ends after the consultation, but many want more help and move forward with the design plan. I always start with the discovery call and consultation because, in the world of interior design, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to what a partnership could look like!

What role does the client play in the design process, and how do you collaborate to bring their vision to life?

The client plays a huge role in the design process, whether they realize it or not. Sure, some are more particular about colors or textures than others, and some want to touch every piece of furniture before they purchase it, while others are okay not seeing the piece until it’s installed. But all our clients have habits, wants, and needs for a space that our designs feed off of.

What trends in interior design are you currently excited about, and how do you incorporate them into your work?

I am stupidly excited about the trend of breathing life back into the interiors that went all gray during the gray craze. Even with my most neutral-loving clients, I am layering in warmth and life through interesting textures and subtle patterns.

Do you offer virtual interior design services, and how do they differ from in-person consultations and design work?

I do offer virtual interior design services! As long as the client has a decent camera for Zoom meetings and feels comfortable taking measurements for me, the process isn’t too different. I’ve successfully designed spaces from states away and am looking forward to growing that arm of Keller Creative.

How do you handle challenges that may arise during the design or renovation process, and how do you keep clients informed and involved?

I start first by letting my clients know how typical hiccups are in renovations. I don’t think there’s ever been a renovation project that has ever gone exactly to plan, and unfortunately, I don’t think there ever will be, but by being upfront about this rather than trying to pretend it will be something that it won’t I find clients appreciate the honesty and trust my direction. I also work really hard to maintain a solid relationship with my vendors. The better we work together and trust each other often, the better the renovation goes. And on top of all of that, I value open and honest communication with my clients always. I ask how each client prefers to communicate and how often they would like to have updates and then adapt my ways to serve them best.

What are some of the clients' most common misconceptions about interior design, and how do you address them?

A lot of people are surprised by how much quality construction work can cost and, despite saying they “have no budget for a room” or “will pay whatever it takes to get done right,” are shocked by proposals. I am always open to sourcing multiple quotes for a project but am very clear with clients about the benefits of working with a company with a reputation for quality work over a lesser-known and lower-priced competitor. Poor construction work is the worst headache!!

Are there any particular architectural styles or design aesthetics that you specialize in or are particularly passionate about?

I am personally a fan of transitional interiors because of their mix of modern design elements I love, such as trending color palettes and lighting schedules, with things I find incredibly charming, including heirloom furniture and curated artwork.

Could you share some success stories or testimonials from past clients who were thrilled with the transformation of their spaces?

We hired Rachel to come in and evaluate our conference room, front reception area, and Broker's office. After much listening and asking questions about what we were looking to do, mood boards were drafted, and she hit the nail on the head!! One was chosen, and work began. The end result was astonishing, and all the agents LOVED it! The energy and thought that went into listening to our "want" and "why" was incredible. We love our new space and are constantly getting compliments on it. Rachel and her team were phenomenal ~ 5 Stars!

As we wrap up our journey into the world of Keller Creative Interiors, we leave you with a profound thought – that a well-designed interior is not merely a matter of aesthetics; it's a cornerstone of one's overall well-being. We often talk about the importance of mental health, recognizing that our thoughts reside within our minds. But consider this: your body lives in your interior spaces, and the quality of that environment has a profound impact on your happiness and overall health.

Imagine a home where natural light bathes every corner, where cabinets open effortlessly to reveal exactly what you need, and where the flooring is so invitingly soft that it brings joy to your every step. This is the potential of interior design – to create spaces that nurture your physical and emotional well-being.

Rachel, the visionary behind Keller Creative Interiors, understands this connection intimately. Her commitment to designing spaces that harmonize with your lifestyle and elevate your daily experiences is a testament to the belief that good interior design is indeed a pillar of good health.

But how does Rachel stay at the forefront of design trends and innovations? She's an active member of interior design professional communities, closely follows fellow designers on social media, and maintains a close relationship with her vendors to keep abreast of new products and materials. This dedication to staying updated ensures that Keller Creative Interiors' designs are always fresh, innovative, and in tune with the latest trends.

For those of you considering the services of an interior designer for the first time, Rachel has a simple but powerful piece of advice – just get started! Don't let the fear of the unknown or the pursuit of perfection hold you back. Each project you embark on is an opportunity to grow as a designer and a business owner. Take that first step, and you'll be on your way to creating spaces that not only reflect your unique personality but also enhance your overall well-being.

So, with that encouragement, we invite you to explore the world of interior design through the lens of Keller Creative Interiors. Your dream space awaits, and with their expertise, it's closer than you think.
